According to the Orlando Sentinel: James Karl Brendlinger, a drama teacher at Lake Howell High School, was arrested last Friday for supposedly not reporting a sexual relationship between an adult volunteer and a high school student. According to the Lake Howell sheriff’s department deputies, Brendlinger was told by a 16-year-old student that the student was having a sexual relationship with an overage volunteer. The volunteer’s name was not given because they are under investigation for having sex with a minor. So far, the victim and her family have declined to prosecute against Bredlinger for his count of failing to report suspected child sexual abuse. He has currently been released on bail bond.
