Throughout Royce Saalfield’s career, he has worked within the confines of criminal law in both the public and the private sector. He is passionate about representing people accused of crimes from anything as small as a misdemeanor to major felonies and sex crime cases.


Royce graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After graduation, he worked for a Gainesville law firm for quite a few years. Later, he attended law school at Western New England University School of Law. He graduated from law school in 2001.


After law school, Royce returned to Florida and began working as an Assistant Public Defender in the Fourth Judicial Circuit. After doing this for a number of years, he took a sabbatical from Public Defense to do in-house legal counsel for a Fortune 500 company. Once he had completed his stay at said company, he returned to the Public Defender’s Office. He now works for us here at the Sex Crime Defense Team representing criminal and sex crime cases small and large.
